I’ve only had one full day of the holidays and I’m already stressed. Wednesday was a half-day for my middle daughter. She spent the afternoon boiling in the park with her friends; then all seven of them came to sleep (or not) in a tent in the garden. She spent yesterday recovering, drooping over the settee, being grumpy.
And last night my youngest had a friend over for a sleepover, and has been bad tempered all morning. I don’t know how I’m going to survive six weeks of this.
But let’s bring some joy into the world with a competition. One of my favourite postcards is the sunset over water by Paul Narbutt in the Visions collection of art postcards. The actual painting is called To The Farthest Shores and it’s just beautiful.
