Thank you to everyone who entered our most recent competition. Congratulations to Marilyn Dickinson, Mrs J Goff, Emma Hadley, Michael Griffin and Oriana Donlevy who each won a pack of Songs of Hope postcards. We had a great response both by e-mail and from Facebook, with over 500 entries. Many of the entries saying they were going to use them for Postcards of Kindness.
This uplifting range was launched just after the first lockdown. I was missing visiting my elderly father and found myself humming Vera Lynn’s – We’ll meet again. Inspired by this I hunted down the best popular songs for the Second World War and later.
Choosing the most appropriate lyrics I set them to beautiful pictures. The postcards have been immensely popular with people leaving reviews like;
“These were really inspirational and beautifully presented.” Emma B
“They are really lovely and just right to send to special people to let them know you are thinking about them without having to write a letter.” Elizabeth A
“These were the cards I ordered especially to send to friends I don’t see often but think about frequently and a card just lets them know that they are not forgotten. Like me many of them are alone and some of them don’t have the friends that I am lucky enough to have so I send a card just to let them know they are not alone, and these cards are pretty and cheerful with words from songs that were all the rage when we were young!” Elizabeth
“A lovely mix of cards to send to my singing friends. Clever use if song titles to send a special message.” Anonymous buyer
If you are looking for a way to let people know you are thinking of them, this is the perfect choice.
